Q) How much does it cost to swim at the Co Derry Finals in Limavady on 5th May?
A) Nothing! The Co Derry Community Games Finals are Free.
Q) Who Qualifies for Limerick?
A) The First Place Athlete only goes through. However, if the same athlete wins multiple individual event- they can only go through in ONE of them. The competitors who placed 2nd will then be offered the position for Limerick.
Q) Do you you have to go to Limerick?
A) No. You are not under any obligation to go to Limerick
Q) How much does it cost to go to Limerick and represent Co Derry?
A) The Co Derry Committee cover the cost of the travel to and from Limerick. However, the accommodation in the athlete village and all food etc has a cost of 120 euro or approximately £100 sterling.
Q) As a parent can we also go?
A) Yes. You can travel with us on the bus is there is space or feel free to make you own way down. There is accommodation packages within the university campus for families wishing to stay together.
Q) Where will my child be staying?
A) All the children will be staying in the University of Limerick onsite accommodation. Children will stay in their own dorms, however there will be supervising adults within a floor of the children.
Q) Are all the supervisors vetted?
A) Yes! All supervisors are vetted similar to Access NI accreditation only via An Garda Síochána. For further information on vetting and what is involved and what all volunteers sign up to, CLICK HERE
Q) Can I volunteer?
A) Absolutely, we would love for more people to join the team. Volunteers have not travel or accommodation costs as these are covered by the Co Derry Committee. You will off course need vetted
