Rachel Kealey

Rachel joined LASC as a promising 7yr old and proved her worth in numerous competitions.  Rachel is still the proud owner of two longstanding records within the club, the 50m Front Crawl and the 100m Individual Medley.  Rachel always delivered on big occasions - and they didn't come much bigger than a 50 metre Front Crawl showdown with Co Down's Sycerika McMahon, (Sycerika represented Ireland in the London Olympics aged just 17) it was a real tooth and nail affair! and whilst Rachel may not have taken home the silverware that night, she did bring home a sub 30 PB!

Rachel has a HND in Sport, Health, Fitness & Exercise.  Her knowledge of the Human Energy Systems and how to get the best from a Base, Build and Taper training program is second to none; this enables our swimmers to give top class performances at the right time.  Rachel has attained her Level 1 and Level 2 Swimming Teachers Certificate and is about to embark on her Level 1 Coaching Award with LASC during 2014.

Rachel has been working as a Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor within Roe Valley Leisure Centre since 2011 and still can’t get enough of the place; eagerly volunteering her free time for the kids of LASC.  A great asset to our club!
